Tackle & swivels

Fishing tackle

Fishing tackle is the equipment anglers use when fishing. Almost any equipment used for fishing can be called tackle — hooks, lines, sinkers, floats, rods, reels, baits, lures, spears, nets, gaffs, traps, waders and tackle boxes.

Swivels

Fishing swivels range in size from a few millimetres to several centimetres. They are traditionally flat black or brass in colour, while more modern swivels also come in lustrous red and blue. Swivel colour may even play a part in attracting fish, especially in low light.
